About Me

My Journey in Science & Medicine

From an early age, I was drawn to the medical field, inspired by the potential to impact lives through research and education. At Cornell University, I founded MedIn Black, a pre-medical mentorship organization that has successfully raised $120,000USD , enabling students to access vital resources, medical school tours, and mentorship programs.

Beyond mentorship, my cancer research focuses on innovative treatment approaches to improve patient outcomes. My work explores targeted therapies and precision medicine strategies, aiming to revolutionize cancer treatment by making it more effective and personalized. I am particularly interested in studying how specific genetic and molecular markers influence cancer growth and resistance to treatment. My goal is to contribute to groundbreaking medical advancementswhile ensuring aspiring doctors, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, receive the guidance and support needed to succeed.

MedIn Black: Dartmouth, Private Health & Global Expansion

Empowering Future Medical Leaders

MedIn Black is a student-led initiative dedicated to providing mentorship, resources, and networking opportunities for underrepresented pre-medical students. Since its inception, MedIn Black has expanded its reach beyond Cornell, forming strategic alliances with Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons to create accessible pathways for students aspiring to enter medicine.

Partnerships with Private Healthcare Institutions

Recognizing the importance of hands-on experience, MedIn Black has also collaborated with leading private healthcare institutions to provide students with exclusive shadowing opportunities, internship programs, and clinical exposure. These partnerships ensure that students gain first-hand experience in patient care, medical research, and healthcare administration, preparing them for the challenges of medical school and beyond.

Expanding to Jamaica & Global Impact

MedIn Black is currently working on expanding its programs to Jamaica, ensuring that students in the Caribbean have access to the same mentorship and medical education resources available to their counterparts in the U.S. Through partnerships with medical schools, hospitals, and private health institutions, the initiative aims to provide Jamaican students with:

  • Mentorship programs connecting them with medical professionals.

  • Admissions workshops to guide students through medical school applications.

  • Clinical exposure opportunities at partner institutions.

  • Funding and scholarship support to assist aspiring doctors in pursuing medical careers.

By broadening its scope to Dartmouth, private health institutions, and international collaborations, MedIn Black is set to revolutionize the landscape of medical education accessibility.
